Autumn Equinox Workshop
Grounded in Trust, Open to Surrender
Join Stephanie Nosco for a special qigong workshop to mark the shift of the season and the beginning of autumn. The Autumn Equinox is a moment of balance between light and dark, after which the downward energies begin to take hold — nights lengthen, air cools, and leaves fall. This season is governed by the Metal element, which rules the Lungs and Large Intestine. Autumn invites us into cutting away, discernment, clarity, and release. It is also a vulnerable time for the immune system, as dryness and coolness challenge the Lungs.
At the same time, the equinox belongs to early autumn, when we can still feel the presence of the Earth element — the spirit of harvest, nourishment, and transition. Late Summer (Earth) governs the Spleen and Stomach, our digestive processes. Supporting digestion and re-establishing routines at this time helps us feel nourished and grounded as we move into the darker season. The equinox sits at the bridge between Earth and Metal, urging us to be well nourished, well digested, and trusting in our own rhythm before descending further into the dark.
The essence of this class is to explore how trust, nourishment, and grounding support the process of cutting away, discernment, and release. The class will include:
A short lecture on the energetics of the season
A 40-minute qigong practice, including the Tiger form
A closing meditation to help you feel rooted, supported, and energetically protected for the months ahead
